The launch of twice-weekly flights from London Luton to Košice in eastern Slovakia, announces the return of Wizz Air to Slovakia after a hiatus of three year. The airline will launch its new service to Slovakia's second biggest city on 17 September.

Wizz Air is to operate two flights a week and increase frequency to four weekly flights by the start of the winter season. Wizz Air is not the only airline to serve on the route between London and Košice, during its absence from October 2007 to August 2009, the route was served with upto four weekly flights from Slovakia's very own LCC, SkyEurope.
